a brief introduction
Amanda Muhlena is a multi-media artist. She lives and works in Washington D.C. and holds an MFA in Studio Art from American University. She is interested in the contemplation of insignificance using a variety of materials and processes, re-presenting the residue of the familiar.
Her work has been shown at the American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center (Washington, DC), WPA Art Night at Hickock Cole (Washington, DC), the Concourse D/E International Gallery at BWI Airport (Baltimore, MD), Capital One Headquarters (McLean, VA), SENSE Gallery (Washington, DC), and MONOPRACTICE (Baltimore, MD).
