A rumpled feather on the ground, the empty space inside an apple, the pattern of my skin; these unassuming subjects have a quiet beauty that captures my attention and inspires my work. It is through the process of art-making that I acknowledge these fragile, subtle, and intimate moments of existence, and my work invites the viewer to accompany me in playful reverence. Each of these moments has particular qualities, and I approach each inquiry with a specific process driven by the materiality of the source, thus I do not limit myself to a particular medium. My practice is open-ended and driven by curiosity, therefore I engage multiple processes and projects simultaneously. I view my practice as an active attempt to answer questions that I do not yet know how to pose with words.
